Summary of work
The rapidly evolving lung cancer landscape, with numerous clinical trials evaluating different therapeutic classes across different disease categories, means constant data, drug approvals, and guideline updates. It is difficult for healthcare professionals to keep abreast of and understand implications for clinical practice to ensure that all patients benefit. This, alongside the changing composition of the multidisciplinary team responsible for the management of lung cancer, requires a more holistic approach to scientific exchange.
Lung Unlimited 2023, a 1-day, faculty-led program, was designed with a focus on driving collaboration to transform lung cancer care and improve patient outcomes in the future. The goal was to build a community of leaders in lung cancer from across the United States to encourage diverse thinking and empower clinically meaningful discussions.
Attended by >40 national experts, the success of Lung Unlimited 2023 is illustrated by the results of the post-event survey, post-event interviews, expert engagement, and quality of recommendations. Insights gained and almost 50 recommendations made during the event can be used to transform lung cancer care now and in the future.
Lung Unlimited 2023 was just the beginning! We continue to engage and exchange knowledge with the expert community at Lung Unlimited 2024 and beyond.
