Her unique blend of policy expertise, behavioural science acumen, and dedication to amplifying underserved populations has built trusting partnerships with clients that have translated into long-term revenue streams and substantial organic growth. Shamilah’s comprehensive understanding of patient advocacy principles and dedication to ethical community engagement is underscored by her leadership on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives both at MHP and industry-wide through groups like Black Politicos. Beyond her professional achievements, Shamilah personifies impactful community empowerment. She has forged partnerships with organisations like Wellbeing of Women to further MHP’s mission of advancing health equity. Notably, she worked with the organisation on convening the groundbreaking Health Collective — a union of grassroots groups supporting marginalised women — to directly inform the UK’s landmark Women’s Health Strategy with insights from their lived experiences. Shamilah also leverages her capabilities to drive LGBTQ+ rights progress in hostile environments in the global south.
