The Sanofi UK Travel – Don’t Skip The Good Part campaign educated UK travelers about free NHS travel vaccinations, focusing on those visiting high-risk destinations during peak seasons. Post-COVID vaccine hesitancy has made it essential to rebuild confidence in vaccine protection and accessibility. Havas SO utilized creative resources supplied by Sanofi UK to develop a strategy and approach that successfully achieved all objectives set. Through targeted social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, we delivered engaging video content, directing audiences to the Why Travel Health Advice Matters page on the Sanofi Smarter Traveler site. Here, travellers accessed trusted information and were encouraged to consult healthcare professionals about their free travel vaccine entitlements. The campaign effectively increased awareness by achieving over 3.4 million impressions across platforms, with TikTok gaining over 1.9 million impressions. The campaign successfully drove meaningful engagement with impressive click through rates across content, indicating that the campaign was successful at driving travelers to take more proactive steps to protect their health.

Judges’ comments

This was an innovative use of TikTok, as this platform isn’t often used by pharma, so in that way it was bold and different. Havas SO and Sanofi provided a good source of public health information and had included clear, measurable objectives. Their work successfully achieved behaviour change, while making an impressive use of a low budget. The judges felt that engaging in TikTok is a brave move and a big step forward.
