Media Outreach for AbbVie in Migraine
by Health Unlimited on behalf of AbbVie
Summary of work
Migraine is one of the most common neurological reasons for visiting a doctor in the UK, yet patients can languish without effective management for many years. A report by the Migraine Trust in 2021 (‘State of the Migraine Nation Dismissed for too long’) indicated many patients feel dismissed or overlooked, and it is very difficult for them to access improved care. Around 89% of patients report challenges with their mental health, with anxiety and depression being most common. This project is about specific media outreach for AbbVie UK aimed at encouraging people with migraine - those struggling through the care pathway, or those who may have already dropped out - to re-engage and seek out better care by speaking to their doctor.
Judges’ comments
Health Unlimited and AbbVie’s project had very simple, straight forward tactics, done really well. They had lofty goals, which were all smashed and the coverage was great for the budget. It had great results and impact.
