Obsidian’s journey began over two decades ago as Elements Communications.
Since its launch, the business had continuously evolved to meet shifting client and health communications industry demands. However, by the end of 2022, it was struggling to keep pace with its peers, operating with limited success.
The appointment of a new leadership team from outside of the business in mid-2023 marked the beginning of a bold transformation. A full-scale strategic reset was initiated, focused on rebuilding culture, strengthening operations, and redefining market positioning.
The aim was clear: to restore Obsidian to its rightful place as a sustainable, high-performing agency by the end of 2024.
At the heart of this transformation is a team of dedicated scientists, strategists, and communicators committed to delivering trusted, visionary scientific communications that improve healthcare for everyone.
Knowing that transformation is almost always challenging, Obsidian never lost sight of its people or its clients.
By embedding integrity, expertise, and openness as core values and investing in team development, brand repositioning, and financial and operational excellence, the business has emerged from 2024 with a solid foundation for long-term growth.
Today, Obsidian is a transformed, re-energised, future-ready agency, recognised as a trusted strategic partner in healthcare communications.
