Summary of work
From our experience at Cuttsy+Cuttsy, we uncovered first-hand that clinical trials can often be a daunting and sometimes frightening experience for patients. We spotted an opportunity to make a difference and make the communication around clinical trials more sensitive, simple, effective and understandable.
Our CSR vision was to improve the clinical trial experience and achieve the best possible outcomes for patients and their support network.
The Clinical Trials Explained…in plain English guide was developed in print and online (clinicaltrialsexplained.com). The resources were reviewed by the CCRA (Clinical & Contract Research Association), ABPI (Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry) and the CCRA (Clinical & Contract Research Association). The project was recognised at the highest level of the CCRA who agreed to endorse our book and website and requested 750 copies for distribution to its members.
The resources will continue to be updated and enhanced to keep the site fresh and in 2018 we will be launching an emotional intelligence campaign that will feature the ‘in plain English guide’ to raise further awareness of this much needed resource.
