Resonant Group

Summary of work

Resonant entered 2025 amid sustained industry turbulence. Pharmaceutical restructures, tightening budgets and the ripple effects of US tariffs created widespread uncertainty, AI became ubiquitous but poorly governed, while agency networks continued to consolidate.

Against this backdrop, clients wanted stability, specialist expertise and partners who could truly add value.

As a founder-owned group of specialist communications agencies, Resonant was well positioned to respond, but recognised that to remain competitive, we had to make fundamental changes. Rather than retreat from disruption, we leaned into it. We faced our brutal truths head on – our leadership needed to evolve, we were under-leveraging the Group and we needed deeper client engagement.

Our ‘house of brands’ model provided clear expertise within each agency while allowing seamless collaboration, but in an evolving landscape this alone would not be sufficient to deliver against our growth ambitions.

We prioritised strengthening our leadership, sharpening our specialist proposition and deepening long-term client partnerships, while keeping our team engaged.

This level of change carried risk, but the result was sustained double-digit revenue growth (14%) and increased client footprint (17%), proving that by confronting hard truths and acting decisively, Resonant could evolve, strengthen partnerships and continue to grow in a more demanding market.

Judges’ comments

The entry from Resonant Group was interesting and the team were clearly very professional and capable. They have a good handle on the challenges, both internal and external and have adapted accordingly. They have also been rewarded with growth.
