Adventures in Pharma

Summary of work

Artificial intelligence has the potential to add huge value to pharma, but most AI content focuses on hyperbole and hypotheticals, leaving teams confused about how to get started and anxious about getting it wrong.

Adventures in Pharma set out to change that.

Rather than presenting AI as a disruptive technology, the programme reframed it as "appropriate intelligence": tools that enhance creativity, scientific thinking and strategic decision-making. Something you can apply today.

The inaugural Adventures conference brought together 100 professionals for an immersive day of practical AI learning in London. Twenty speakers from pharma, technology, healthcare and policy delivered demonstrations, workshops and case studies, while the event itself showcased AI in action through live demos, AI-assisted content production and an interactive photobooth transforming attendees into illustrated "AI adventurers".

The result was high engagement and early evidence of behavioural impact. In follow-up four weeks later, 80% of respondents reported increased AI use, and the event directly generated four in-house AI workshop commissions and four new client relationships.

Adventures 2.0 takes place in London on 30 April 2026, with 25+ speakers and 150 attendees. Find out more at adventuresinpharma.com.

Judges’ comments

Adventures in Pharma was incredibly well written with sound metrics and objectives. It was a really interesting approach, as industry-wide instead of focusing internally. It fostered wider conversations around the broad AI topic and the innovation lay in the framing and delivery. It has achieved a lot in terms of generating business and attendance of future meeting. The judges were big fans!
