The Future of Anticoagulation Report - Evolving thought leadership in atrial fibrillation

by Ruder Finn UK for Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH

Summary of work

To raise the profile of Daiichi Sankyo Europe in the crowded atrial fibrillation (AF) market, the agency implemented an integrated strategy to cut through the noise of its competitors, to drive engagement with key stakeholders and generate media coverage. Analysis of the disease landscape revealed that a number of campaigns had been conducted with a focus on current unmet need in the management of AF, however there was limited research on addressing future unmet need; despite the fact that AF prevalence is predicted to double in Europe by 2060.1 The agency delivered The Future of Anticoagulation Report, the first independently researched, expert-led report on the evolving future landscape of AF. Through multichannel dissemination, the campaign far-exceeded its objectives, reaching a Pan-European audience of over 2.75 million people (through traditional and social media coverage, report downloads and event attendance), securing engagement with several key stakeholders, many of whom have used the report as a platform to push for improvements in patient care in AF among their own communities/networks.
