Sandoz HACk: It’s time to HACk Healthcare!
Summary of work
To help fight this, Sandoz launched Sandoz HACk - Healthcare Access Challenge - an innovative CR programme that aims to improve access to healthcare worldwide. Believing that the biggest changes come from amazing, small ideas, Sandoz targeted an entrepreneurial, intelligent and driven audience - millennials. Recognising that they do not have all the answers, Sandoz challenged this new generation of innovators and social change agents to solve local health access challenges using mobile technologies. The result? A shortlist of truly inspirational community-led solutions.
To ensure elite participation, Sandoz partnered with both WIRED (to raise awareness) and OpenIDEO (to refine and incubate ideas). Thus a global community of highly driven problem-solvers were engaged to optimise the awe-inspiring entries. In its first year Sandoz HACk has started to make an impact on access to healthcare solutions; and cemented Sandoz’ position as a thought leader in this arena.
Judges’ comments
The Sandoz HACk campaign demonstrated meaningful and appropriate partnerships. It was an innovative idea, with creative marketing materials. The judges felt that this had longevity and look forward to seeing further results in the future.
