Summary of work
Ferring Pharmaceuticals has been developing treatments for women and babies for over 50 years and aims to be the world-leading, most trusted healthcare company in reproductive medicine and women’s health. With a new President and Chief Science Officer, Ferring wanted to build its corporate awareness and engagement levels with one of its key, but hitherto untapped audiences: the European trying to conceive (TTC) community, a passionate, engaged online community of bloggers, who provide comfort and support to those going through fertility challenges.
Partnering with Chandler Chicco Agency (CCA), Ferring was able to bring its #ProjectFamily concept to life at a first-of-its-kind European fertility blogger summit. The event enabled the team to uncover deep insights and build lasting relationships with the TTC community. Outputs from the event have informed not only Ferring’s 2019 communications strategy but broader corporate initiatives.
The success of the event exceeded all expectations. In addition to the incredibly rich advice, guidance and experiences cited by the bloggers, Ferring was able to make meaningful connections with all attendees. This is demonstrated by a 15% increase in followers on Instagram and five-times more engagement across all Ferring-owned social channels post-event, as well as ongoing partnerships with several bloggers.
The beautiful little details of this summit really amplified an emotionally engaging event, which provided a platform to give the voiceless a voice. The event was sensitive to the audience and created a safe environment to those who attended, which we truly loved.
