Scope for Change
Summary of work
Colonoscopy is a crucial tool in the prevention of colorectal cancer and other gastrointestinal conditions. However, variation between and within European countries in the way the procedure may be accessed, societal stigma and an underprioritisation of the issue by policymakers is undermining its impact.
Through an integrated communications programme, Scope for change, Norgine encouraged thoughtful discussion between key stakeholders about the state of colonoscopy services in Europe and the opportunities that exist to collaboratively secure improvements.
2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the first colonoscopy. This programme brought the community together to show that there is indeed Scope for change.
