OPEN Health Medical Communications has consistently delivered on this approach over the years, while growing at around 30% year-on-year— quite a result! In 2019, the stakes were raised. We were tasked with delivering yet another year of outstanding growth, while rebranding and managing extensive internal change. Instead of letting these changes distract us, the growth mindset we have nurtured drove all our team members to take ownership of the expansion; we behaved as thought leaders in the industry, developed novel, innovative client solutions to drive meaningful outcomes, won fantastic accounts and delivered such outstanding work that our clients trusted us with even more. And, underlying all of this was a culture of openness, partnership, excellence, bravery, recognition and thanks. We empowered our team members to own our values, managed change through open dialogue, welcomed many exceptional minds to our teams, developed our staff and supported our communities. Not only did we deliver on the numbers, yet again, but our valued people are raring to take us forward to even greater ventures.

Judges’ comments

OPEN is clearly ambitious and focused on evolving their medical affairs expertise. The judges found them to be a cohesive team with strong culture and ethos which is positively driving growth and excellent work. Despite some big business challenges and change OPEN demonstrated that they put people first and were training focused. This not only meant that their talent base remained strong but also help to ensure they stayed ahead in medical affairs.
