triMS.online: Communicating Research, Advancing Equality for All Working in MS
Summary of work
Designed for a virtual audience in 2018 by Professor Gavin Giovannoni and the not-for-profit company Oxford Health Policy Forum, triMS.online aims to connect a diverse global audience of multiple sclerosis (MS) health professionals and advance equality for all working in the field.
The 2020 triMS.online event series included two triMS.online conferences and two triMSx webcasts. The webcasts were focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in MS.
Free registration allows access to the latest research and creates an open forum to explore fresh ideas. The triMS.online format, with bite-size presentations, company-sponsored symposia, poster hall and Q&A sessions, facilitates engagement and interaction beyond those of other events in the field. All content is available on demand after the event.
The programme for each event is developed by a scientific steering committee that includes rising stars and female and male representation from five continents.
The highly recognized triMS.online brand is gaining momentum, attracting a broad global audience of over 3100 registrants across six events. The impact of triMS.online events is growing fast, continually engaging new audiences and overcoming the hurdles that many healthcare professionals face in attending conferences. triMS.online is paving the way for the conferences of the future.
Judges’ comments
triMS.online had an altruistic feel that is great to see in a programme and very difficult to get! It had a refreshing and challenging approach, which resonated with newer experts. We liked the strong narrative, execution, focus and solution. It had impressive reach, a strong programme and panel of speakers. They had thought about the societal impact, taking a successful programme and evolving it well. A well-executed, successful event.
