Summary of work

It was a bold move, diversifying and expanding our healthcare consultancy offering in 2021, whilst our clients, healthcare system partners, policymakers and the patients these organisations serve were starting their recovery from a global pandemic. But it was also a necessary move, not only to tackle key recruitment and conflict challenges within the business, but also to help address one of the challenges that the pandemic itself illuminated – patient access to treatment.

In 2021, we rewired our business. We invested in expert hires to guide an expanded new market access offer, built out our supporting capabilities in digital, strategy and insights, extended our marketing and invested heavily in our existing competitive advantage – our people. It was a success, and our market access team is supporting clients to explore innovative access and uptake approaches for their medicines. But our rewire wouldn’t have been successful if our foundations weren’t strong – we implemented a new retention strategy and focused on training. Consequently, 91% of our staff say they are proud to work for us.

Judges’ comments

The Hanover entry was well crafted, with some good ideas and initiatives. The Rewire internal strategy was interesting and sustainability was strong. A solid team who presented well to the judges and the impact forecast and accessment framework are nice, well considered tools.

Highly commended
