Emma Reynolds

Cohn & Wolfe

Summary of work

Emma Reynolds is curious, brave and bold - exuding C&W’s core values in everything she does. After demonstrating consistent digital and media successes, she carved a role for herself as C&W London’s Healthcare practice’s first integrated digital communications expert. Emma today uses cutting-edge digital media and video storytelling techniques to help her clients stand out within the highly regulated and conservative pharmaceutical sector. Recently, she persuaded one conservative UK client to pilot a social campaign after years of hesitation - and that client is now blazing new digital trails. For another client, Emma successfully pitched what will be the first use of a chatbot for online patient communications. Indeed, with her innovative ideas, Emma is giving UK healthcare PR fresh relevance and a contemporary edge.

Emma also serves as the practice’s media specialist and has been at the forefront of some of C&W’s most prominent campaigns. To date, she has created 800 million impressions through sought-after placements in national press, broadcast outlets and wires.

Whether coaching graduates, giving UCL medical students career advice, or devising the first male health awareness campaign for ITV’s Lorraine, Emma’s optimism and passion for progressive healthcare PR is clear for all to see.

Judges’ comments

We felt Emma was comfortable being at the cutting edge of healthcare communications and that she relished that challenge of where PR will go in the future. She already has an idea of what she wants to be next and what it will take to get there, and proved herself to be very self-aware. She gave an interesting, self-reflective presentation that was rich with anecdotes and insightful answers. She stood out for her authenticity and we felt she’s someone who would make a real difference at an agency. We loved hearing from Emma – she is incredible.
