2017 was a breakthrough year for GCI Health London, undoubtedly our last as a ‘small agency’. We achieved a 60% increase in revenue – smashing our annual target by 48% and more than quadrupling our size over four years.
GCI Health is an integrated communications agency designed for and inspired by the ever-changing face of healthcare. In London, we opened our doors for business in 2013 as a new hub office of WPP’s only global health-dedicated public relations agency. From the beginning, we joined our global network’s singular vision: to be the best health communications agency in the world. Last year was an extraordinary part of our journey, with our significant growth underpinned by a conscious effort to maintain and continuously define our distinct personality – a culture that remains at the core of every GCI Health victory.
Judges’ comments
This year we saw a very diverse range of agencies and GCI Health came into the room at the very end of the day to present and they absolutely nailed it. Both in terms of their business performance with a very clear strategy, 60% increase in revenue and a 96% retention rate for staff, which is truly impressive in what must have been a really busy year. But almost more importantly than that, their mantra that "One of us is no greater than all of us”, is pulled through in both their values and their behaviours. They were truly impressive.
