Summary of work

Helen joined Nucleus Global as a Medical Writer at the end of 2017 and in just over four years reached the position of Scientific Director. During her time with Nucleus Global, she has been involved in projects that have had a real impact on improving patients’ lives, has driven a supportive and caring agency culture with a determination to improve and evolve their work, led a happy and productive team that finds real meaning in what they do, and in 2021 won the Louisa Global Award out of 900+ members of staff for her 'outstanding relationship-building skills'. With regards the latter, Helen cares deeply for the multiple meaningful relationships she has built. In particular, she has formed trusted consultancy relationships with clients based on her ability to find simplicity in complex scientific concepts as well as her understanding of strategy, which has led to new accounts and opportunities for her team. Helen is extremely passionate about med comms, is delighted to be on a career path that combines science, communication, writing, creativity and building relationships, and very much looks forward to what can be achieved in the future.

Judges’ comments

Helen has demonstrated a very impressive career trajectory within her agency and has clearly provided excellent work for her clients. Her passion for nurturing talent and evolving a positive culture within her team is also very evident. The judges were particularly impressed with the refreshing honesty in her submission.
