Summary of work
Twenty years ago Virgo launched at Communiqué 2003; a big birthday prompted an evaluation of where we want to be. Our Being Human ethos and core values had kept us ahead of the curve for the past two decades, we wanted to protect this culture for decades to come.
We were determined that growth would not compromise who we are, as we evolved our capabilities, fullyembedded Smart Hybrid working and welcomed people back to a new office space.
By deepening client relationships and new business success across gene therapy, vaccines and oncology we delivered significant growth (31%) that unlocked inspiring work. We exposed a gender pain gap, innovated patient support with Alexa, highlighted mRNA technology developments and placed data against exercise for mental health.
We listened to our people and innovated. We hired our first DEI director, introduced gender neutral, family-friendly pay and Women’s Health policies, launched summer Work from Anywhere and Winter Wellness, provided cost-of-living support, worked pro bono for cancer charities and delivered our biggest year of L&D. Proudly, we promoted one-third of our people and saw our highest staff retention rate in five years, with 86% recommending Virgo as a great place to work.
The Virgo Health Team were very impressive and bought their submission to life. Their presentation was really well put together and thought through. Their growth was consistent and stead and they clearly are a progressive consultancy. They had credibility and competency in the answers with a great team dynamic. The team focused on truthfulness over “sparkle” and felt genuinely authentic.
